Robot Platforms Performance Details

1Robot Performance

Having built many robots, the knowledge required for designing the power train has been condensed in an online html JavaScript calculator, making it more convenient to test various motor, gearbox wheel battery combinations to achieve the desired design specifications.
With the tool now online, presets for the various robots have been inserted so that the performance of our platforms can be easily compared.

2AD Robot

AD Robot is one of our earlier robots meant for advertising.
It was equipped with two 24V gearmotors, 100mm wheels and two 12V 5Ah deep cycle lead gel batteries.

7OrangeBot

OrangeBot is the new platform currently under construction and is meant to compete in the Pi Wars 2020 competition in the UK if our application is accepted. OB is going to be powered by a yet to be designed custom Raspberry Pi Hat capable of controlling up to four 10A DC motors with encoders and snappy motor control loop.
OB is equipped with two gearmotors with encoders, 127mm wheels and is powered by a LIPO 4S 2500mAh. OB is going to be our fastest most controllable robot to date with a top speed of about 30 Km/h.
